This HEMA Gorget fits on all kinds of necks, and thanks to its slightly moldable plastic, the plastic can be reshaped to fit your neck better. Without throat protectors, thrusts could be very dangerous, especially when fencing with steel weapons. Every experienced HEMA practitioner knows this. On the inside of this HEMA gorget, there is a hard plastic, which can be heated and then slightly re-shaped to better fit your neck. Because of a sturdy, bigger than usual Velcro tape, it fits on all kinds of necks. You can turn your head without any significant issues. This one-size fits all gorget uses a hard impact plastic protective band for the throat and heavy resistant foam to protect the collarbone. An outer part of stitched nylon covers the whole protector and adds an extra layer for protection.

No issues with any of this at all. I ordered the product on February the 28th via their website, and got it on the 8th of March, so about a week later. The mobility, in particular the armoured front section, is really good.

New to HEMA? What is HEMA? Regarding Leon Paul doubling gorget price imgur. The old version was also an early-version just-past prototype. Jacek partly wanted to get people to try it and see how it worked. I tried it and it was crushing my windpipe, and he got me sorted with a discount code after I tried experimenting with making it work. But it was definitely offered out initially as a "let's get some consumer feedback" type of deal. The other thing is that the newer version has nape protection as well - I am very curious to try it when I meet someone who has it, since I think the main design issue with the previous version was the lack of a nape gave the front piece nothing to push against when it was taking pressure from a mask bib, a jacket, or an incoming thrust. It looks interesting. Have you tried their full leg protection?
